It's also a helpful corrective to point out that we often read the Scripture's usage of "you" in the Epistles especially as meaning just "me". In the Greek, it's almost ALWAYS plural - "you all" or "y'all" if you like. Scriptural instruction should certainly be applied at the individual level--but we often forget these are corporate commands to be carried out together.
