Saying Something about Nothing


This is an unusual posting because I want to talk a moment about having nothing to say.  I’ve been hard at work on my current series of sermons and a looming book deadline, and just haven’t had much to contribute to a blog post.  How easily my mind is drained!  Someone once told me, “When your output exceeds your intake, your upkeep will be your downfall.”  We live in a world in which we feel compelled to comment all the time, but it takes time to form rich observations.  Time to think.  Time to mull.  Time to study.  Time to burrow into the Word.  Well, here’s to keeping quiet once in a while!
