Jerusalem

Just a quick update to let you know we’re safe and sound in Jerusalem. We left Galilee for a stop in Beit Shean to see the Roman ruins, and then on to Gan Hashlosha National Park for swimming. After an interesting drive down the Jordan Valley we arrived in Jericho and took the cable car to visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery clinging to the side of Temptation Mountain. Except for the cable car’s stopping for a half-hour in the blazing sun on the way down, all went well. We turned down the Wadi Kelt for an amazing trip on the old Jericho Road, and ended up in Jerusalem at sunset.

(When I get home I’m going to have to buy a new camera, so no pictures now. I’m too tired to post them anyway. But it’s been a great day in Israel.)
