SUMMARY:Pigeon Forge Bible Conference at the Array Theater
DESCRIPTION:Morningstar\, a ministry organized by Jerry Scarborough who is a long-time friend of Pastor Morgan\, is the host of the annual Bible Conference:One of the best events of our Morningstar calendar each year is our February Bible Conference. We started in the year 2000\, so this coming February will be our 27th year meeting in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee in Pigeon Forge to study God’s Word. The dates next year are February 6 – 8\, 2026.Since the year 2009\, our Bible teacher for the weekend conference has been Pastor Robert Morgan of Nashville\, TN. Our schedule is easy\, dress is casual\, and the fellowship is wonderful. As usual\, Charles Keown will lead our praise\, and Scott Bush will be our soloist. As you know\, we now have a wonderful home for our conference\, the beautiful Array Theatre located at 2135 Parkway in Pigeon Forge\, TN. Our meeting times remain the same\, Friday evening\, Saturday morning\, and Sunday morning. Saturday afternoon and evening are free.Pastor Morgan’s topic for the conference will be “Abiding Habits\, The Quiet Rhythms of a Fruitful Life.” What a busy\, broken world we’re in! We need to learn to meet with God in the flow of everyday life and to stay close to Him amid the chaos of our culture. How to do that? First\, we’ll study John 15\, where Jesus tells us to remain constantly connected to Him as branches in the Vine. Then we’ll talk about developing a personal\, sustainable plan for daily time with God—one that focuses on hermeneutical daily study and prayer\, and that fits your personality\, schedule and season of life. With over 40 ideas and practices to draw from\, you’ll learn how to create space for Scripture\, prayer\, worship\, reflection—a daily pattern of stillness and strength. There are many hotels in the Pigeon Forge area with great rates. And the beautiful Blue Mountain Mist Inn is offering a discount rate. If you are interested in the Inn\, please call (865) 428-2335 and mention the Bible Conference for a special rate. For your convenience\, we have also reached out to The Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. They have agreed to give us a favorable rate of $197 for their beautiful rooms with two queen beds. A full breakfast each morning is offered. Simply call them @ (888) 465-9644 and mention the Morningstar Bible Conference. Reservations must be made by January 5\, please.Let me encourage you to register now and also secure your rooms. Registration fee is $40 per person\, and checks should be payable to Morningstar. Send me your full name\, address\, cell number\, and e-mail address to Morningstar\, Box 1111\, Columbus\, GA 31902-1111. There is no fee for those in ministry and/or the military\, including spouses. If you have any questions\, my e-mail address is jscpa@att.net and my cell is (706) 315-6363.
