Description

Previously Titled “Moments for Families with Prodigals”

HOPE FOR YOUR PRODIGAL. HELP FOR YOU.

Worrying about our loved ones is the worst kind of worry in the world, especially when it’s our children for whom we’re concerned. From the moment they’re born, our youngsters have an unrivaled place in our hearts, and we feel an unending burden for their welfare. We do our best to provide for them and to protect them. But sometimes, like the prodigal’s father in Luke 15, all we can do is entrust them to the Lord, love them, and give them time to find their way. Nothing is more difficult.

Prayers and Promises for Worried Parents offers hope for your prodigal and help for you. In more than a hundred brief readings, Robert J. Morgan offers doses of hope—encouragements from Scripture, effective prayers, true-life stories, promises from God’s Word, timely quotes, and helpful hints for coping with yourself and your child in difficult times.

God specializes in being gracious, and prodigals have a way of coming home. Don’t despair over your wayward ones. The Lord hasn’t given up on them. Nor on you!

I have this book under the previous title “Moments for Families of Prodigals”. I have read this book countless times since purchasing. I have also loaned and recommended this book to many parents who are struggling with a prodigal child. My prodigal will be 30 years old this year and sadly is still a prodigal, but I continue to pray the promises outlined in this book. Thank you so much for your gifted insight into the hearts of hurting families.

  2. Jennie Chambers

I have used this book over the last year as a guide and jumping off point for prayer for my own prodigal. It has provided my heart with tremendous comfort, hope, and encouragement in the journey that is parenting the heart that is wandering away from God. I have given copies of this book to several friends who have found themselves in this same situation and it has been such a help to their hearts, as well. Thank you so much for this precious resource that points those of us who are hurting back to the words of God and His truths and applying them to our loved ones’ situations.
