That God has not forgotten us even though we may go years without seeing His hand move in our life or see answers to our prayers
I had never thought about the comparison between Mary and Elizabeth. Mary young and a virgin, Elizabeth older and beyond child bearing years. A reminder that God uses people of all ages and all different circumstances. I also had never thought that Zechariah's doubt took his testimony. He wasn't able to speak for 9 months. God still works in spite of our doubt, but we lose our testimony.
