Itinerary

DAY 01 – APR. 14: NEW YORK/THESSALONIKI
Depart early in the afternoon from JFK airport on our flight to Thessaloniki, Greece via Frankfurt. Full service on board.

DAY 02 – APR. 15: THESSALONIKI
Arrive in Thessaloniki. We’ll be met by our local guide and transferred to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 03 – APR. 16: PHILIPPI
This morning we’ll drive east to Philippi. The New Testament records a visit to the city by the apostle Paul during his second missionary journey. Accompanied by Silas, by Timothy and possibly Luke. Paul is believed to have preached for the first time on European soil in Philippi. We will visit the magnificent Acropolis, the Marketplace, the Theater and the two early Christian Churches. On the way back will stop at the town of Kavala (Neapolis) where St. Paul first landed in Europe. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.

DAY 04- APR. 17: VERIA/VERGINA/KALAMBAKA
Morning sightseeing in Thessaloniki. It is the second Ā­largest city in Greece with over 1 million inhabitants and the capital of Greek Macedonia. Our sightseeing this morning will include the Arch of Galerius, St. Demetrius, St. Sophia and the White Tower. We continue to Veria (Berea) and see St. Paul’s Berna. Apostle Paul famously preached in the city and its inhabitants were among the first Christians in the Empire. From here we continue to Vergina and visit the breathtaking Tombs of Macedonian Kings. Continue to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05 – APR. 18: KALAMBAKA/ATHENS
This morning, we visit Meteora. It is a rock formation in central Greece hosting one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox Monasteries, second in importance to Mount Athas. The ageless Byzantine Monasteries that stand suspended between earth and the sky, containing priceless and religious treasures. From here we drive to Kamena Vourla to visit leonida’s Monument. Continue to Athens for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06 – APR. 19: CORINTH/ATHENS
After breakfast we depart for Corinth. Visit the Archaeological Museum, Berna, the Marketplace, and the Temples. After a short stop at the Corinth Canal, return to Athens. In the afternoon, visit the Aeropagus (Mars Hill) and the Acropolis with its magnificent ruins of the Golden Age of Athens, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the famous Parthenon. View the Agora and the Ancient Hill of Pnyka. After a short orientation tour of Athens. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Morning transfer to Lavrion to board the ship for a 4-day Cruise to the Greek Isles and Turkey. Afternoon call at Mykonos, known as “The Island of the Winds.” Tourism is a major industry and Mykonos is known for its nightlife. Evening sail for Kusadasi (Turkey).

DAY 08- APR. 21:  EPHESUS/PATMOS
This morning, we arrive at the Turkish port of Kusadasi where we’ll visit Ephesus. Ephesus was famed for the nearby Ancient World. Among many other monuments are the Library of Celsus and the Theatre, capable of holding 25,000 spectators. Ephesus was one of the Seven Churches of Asia that are sited in the Book of Revelation. We’ll return to the ship and sail for Patmos. It is a small Greek Island, most famous for being the location of the vision given to the disciple John in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament and where the book was written. Visit to St. John’s Monastery and Grotto. Evening sail for Rhodes.

DAY 09 – APR. 22: RHODES
In the morning we’ll visit Lindos. Above the modern town rises the Acropolis of Lindos, a natural citadel which fortified successfully by the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St. John and Ottomans. It overlooks Saint Paul’s Bay. In 51 A.D. it is believed that Apostle Paul landed in this bay to preach the teachings of Christianity. In the afternoon we visit the Medieval City of Rhodes, which was constructed around 1309 to 1523 and is part of the modern capital city of Rhodes. The site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Afternoon sail for Heraklion.

DAY 10 – APR. 23: HERAKLION/SANTORINI
This morning, we arrive at Greece’s largest island, Crete. There is an optional excursion to Knossos ($118 per person, reserved and paid for on the cruise). Knossos is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete, and has been called Europe’s oldest city. Visit the Palace of King Minos. Afternoon sail for the volcano island of Santorini. The island was the site of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history; the Minoan eruption called the Thera which occurred about 3,000 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization. Another popular theory holds that the Thera eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis. Evening sail for Lavrion.

DAY 11- APR. 24: LAVRION/ATHENS
We disembark and transfer to Athens. This morning we visit the Acropolis Museum. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 12 – APR. 25: ATHENS/NEW YORK
Early morning transfer to Athen’s airport for our return flight to New York via Frankfurt. Arriving home the same afternoon.

  • Sometimes while on the tour we have to tweak the itinerary slightly depending on conditions on the ground such as crowds, traffic or unexpected interruptions.
  • Pastor Morgan will provide short Bible teaching segments at the major sites as well as commentary along the trip that is biblically informative and inspirational.

Tour Conditions

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is in economy class on regular scheduled IATA Airline. Fare is based on GROUP/APEX as applicable for groups flying together for entire itinerary.

LAND TRANSPORATATION: As specified in each itinerary is by modern air-conditioned buses designed especially for sightseeing. The cost of the land arrangements, as outlined in this itinerary, is based on a bus load ranging from 21-39 passengers.

HOTELS: First Class Hotels, twin-bedded rooms with private facilities. The cruise (CELESTYAL CRUISES-DISCOVERY) is based on two lower beds outside cabins, with frame windows (XD). There are only single rooms are available at an extra charge ($2098). They must be requested and confirmed prior to departure and will be on a first-requested basis.

MEALS AND SIGHTSEEING: Meals consisting of breakfast and dinner daily on land and all meals while on board the cruise ship are included. Shore excursions to Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, Patmos and Lindos, are included in the tour price. Local transportation by bus or local conveyance as indicated, the service of an English-speaking guides, and the entrance fees to places visited on sightseeing tours as indicated in the itinerary.

SERVICE CHARGES, TIPS, TAXES: Service charges imposed by facilities abroad and nominal taxes in connection with the tour price as well as fuel surcharge, port taxes & airport taxes ($193) (subject to change) are included. Not included, tips to the guides, drivers, and crew members, ($150 per person, billed on final invoice) excess baggage, items of personal nature such as laundry, after dinner coffees, tips for personal favors etc.

DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS: There is total protection on your funds. All monies will be held in an Escrow Account. A deposit of $750 per person is required at the time of booking in the form of a check or money order only. Payment for the tour must be made to Trista, Tours/Escrow Account by the passenger through the Tour Host, who is the passenger’s agent for the collection and remittance for
payment. No other person is authorized to request, receive, or collect payments. Final payment is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. If payment is received within 30 days of departure, please include a $75 late fee. Returned checks are subject to an administrative fee of $40.

SPECIAL INCENTIVES: A deposit of $750 received by TriStar Tours no later than August 14, 2025, will entitle the passengers to a $100 Super Saver Discount.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Requests for a refund must be in writing. Refunds will be issued within 45 days of receipt of written notice. For all cancellations up to 180 days prior to departure, for whatever reason, there will be an administrative fee of $500 per person to cover handling fees. For Cancellations 179 – 120 days prior to departure a $600 per person, 119 – 90 days prior to departure a $700 per person, 89 – 60 days $800 and within 60 days of departure full cancellation will apply. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: If you return individually and not with the group, there is a $150 surcharge, plus any applicable airfare differential for the deviation.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour operator agrees to arrange the tour described in this brochure, which represents the entire agreement between the passenger and his agent, the Tour Host, and TriStar Tours. No changes or deviations are effective unless approved in writing and signed by an authorized officer of the tour operator. Except as stated herein, no person is authorized to cancel, modify, or vary the tour arrangements or to make any representation or warranty concerning the tour. Except for willful negligence of its direct employees, the tour operator assumes no liability or responsibility for any injuries, damage or loss of property, accident, delay, changes in schedules or itineraries, inconveniences, accident or illness, or irregularity or incidental damages occasioned by circumstances beyond the control of the tour operator, or by any person or reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to default or omission of any common or private carrier or default, negligence, or omission of and by and third-party providing services or facilities related to or included in this tour or any part thereof for arranging for the same, or the acts or mission of the Tour Host. The airlines and steamship lines are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not on-board planes, ships, or conveyances. The passenger contracts, in use by the airline and steamship lines or other lines involved, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline, ship line and the passenger or purchaser of this tour and/or passenger and the tour operator assume no liability or responsibility in connection therewith.
