Memorize 100 Verses in 2013

My New Year started on a bright note when I learned of a new Facebook Group dedicated to working through and memorizing the Bible verses listed in my book, 100 Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart. The leader of the group, Shanna (who also has a blog dedicated in part to helping homeschoolers), has spread the news and there are now several hundred people committing themselves to Scripture Memory in 2013.

I want to encourage you to keep memorizing Scripture, for nothing so powerfully heals and helps the mind. Find a verse today and go to work.

Here’s the passage I’m currently working on – Revelation 19:11-13 – about the moment of the Second Coming of Christ:

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His Name is the Word of God.
