I was just thinking this evening of a story I read some time ago about a Christian gentleman in England named R. C. Chapman. A friend met him and asked him how he was feeling. He replied, “I’m burdened this morning.”
But he had a smile on his face and seemed happy, even exuberant. The friend questioned him, “Are you really burdened, Mr. Chapman?”
“Yes,” he replied, “but it’s a wonderful burden.” And then he quoted a verse of Scripture, Psalm 68:19, which says: “Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits” (NKJV).
